Professor Li-Wei Qin - ACAA Alumni of the Year Award winner: Using Music to Bridge Cultures and Unite the World

At the Sydney Opera House, internationally acclaimed cellist Professor Li-Wei Qin received the ACAA 2024 Alumni of the Year Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to global cultural exchange.

Arriving in Australia at the age of 13, Professor Qin has risen to the pinnacle of the international music world. Reflecting on his journey, he shared: “Music is a perfect medium—it connects cultures and makes the world smaller.”

The evening was a true celebration of culture and the arts.

We extend our sincere thanks to Hantec Markets Australia and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for their generous support.
